Samba is a challenging dance, primarily because of the many rhythms used for the various step patterns. This leads to a lot of confusion and misunderstanding.

This roughly 40-minute workshop explores a number of step patterns in Samba and outlines the correct timings to make your Samba look more musical. These include the Samba Basic, Whisk, Samba Walk, Samba Locks, Voltas, Bota Fogos, Rolling Off the Arm, and the Reverse Turn. Recorded during a Kinvillage Intermediate group class.
