Dance can’t exist without choreography
Choreography is an essential part of all dancing. But even great dancers, including teachers, can struggle with the effort to design choreography sequences for their dancing. It can be especially challenging to choreograph sequences on the fly while social dancing.
This page lists our choreography guides as downloadable PDF documents. Some dances include full routines, but we provide a way to clearly identify where each figure begins and ends so that you can, over time, learn how to combine them in different ways once you become more familiar with the dance. Others are shown in groups of figures.
Learning by groups of step patterns is generally better than full routines. Groupings make it easier to understand how the different figures are broken down and how they might fit into other figures.
