This Waltz video workshop presents a fairly simple and elegant grouping using the Outside Spin that, while simple in number of figures, is somewhat challenging for social dancers to learn.

You'll learn the figures included in this group with some technical details to help make you look good on the floor. The grouping begins with an Open Telemark starting Diagonal to Centre and ending Diagonal to Wall. This is followed by a Cross Hesitation and then an Outside Spin that also finishes Diagonal to Wall. Together the figures form a soft and elegant curvilinear flow of movement. Filmed during a Kinvillage group class but edited to the most important elements, the 20-minute workshop covers the following figures:

  • Open Telemark
  • Cross Hesitation
  • Outside Spin
  • Natural Turn
