Continuing with our new Community Hub section, this week we get to know Josh Froc, a life coach who helps people find areas of their life that are holding them back from achieving their goals, and then overcoming those obstacles to win in every area of life.

Josh loves to dance but never had any training in partner dancing. He has attended some of the Delta Dance Level 1 classes to gain an understanding of Latin and Ballroom dance.

Natural curiosity has always been part of his character. When he was a young boy, he started asking the question “why?” about almost everything. At the age of just 7 or 8 he once approached an elderly stranger who was smoking and asked if he knew that smoking was bad for him. He then asked the old man why he did it, wanting to understand the motivation someone might have for doing something they know is bad for them.

That same curiosity drove success in sales and in personal development, as well as business. But it also hurt his progress as a salesperson, because sales is all about pushing people to buy things. He started asking himself if people really needed the things he was selling. The answer was sometimes a strong “no” which led to him becoming disenchanted with the expectations so often put on sales people. He wanted to do something more in touch with real needs and motivations, which led him to becoming a fitness coach and eventually a life coach.

Josh Froc was a fitness coach before becoming a life coach.

Coaching people in fitness was a natural step towards becoming more invested in health as a general concept to help his clients. This expanded into asking about the other things they wanted to achieve in life. If you know that something you are doing is not helping you reach your goals, and is often working against them, why are you doing it, and how can you change your life to avoid doing those damaging things?

He wants to help people understand what they want. These things are often hidden from view. But once people have the realization of what they really want, they start making better choices and then they begin making progress towards their life goals.

One person revealed that they had gained weight and lost their focus on health. They had been putting off their health for years due to pressures of work and life. Before they knew it, 25 years had gone by and they had gained many dozens of pounds of weight. Through a single coaching session they returned to a healthy lifestyle, lost weight, and continued with these changes.
Another client had several children who were now at the age where they were getting ready to move out on their own, but was so busy with work that he didn’t know how he could balance family and life. Josh helped him to reprioritize his life and find a way to spend time with his family without sacrificing his business success. The client was even able to take long trips with each child, leaving his phone behind and discovering the family time he had so much wanted to enjoy.

Josh is flexible in how people work with him. He is passionate about helping them discover the things they really want to achieve, and then guiding them to remove the barriers that stand in the way. He offers a free session to get the process started.

I got to know Josh after he created the 5AM Challenge. He has now gone on to build another version of this virtual mentoring program. The 6AM Challenge is based on Josh’s discovery that how you start your morning is a huge part of how your day will go. Getting it going in the right way, with intentional planning, meditation and breath work, set the tone for a great day. This keeps you from just reacting to what’s going on around you, and brings you closer to understanding your own values. It consists of a virtual session joining a limited group of others every morning for five days, Monday to Friday. The next session of the 6AM Club starts Monday, September 9. The cost is $200.

If you would like to get connected to Josh to learn more about his services, or to enroll in the 6AM Club, get in touch. We would love to make the introduction.

If you’re a business owner or professional, we would love to know more about what you do. The dance community is diverse and full of interesting people. The Delta Dance Community Hub is a way to help recognize some of the amazing knowledge, skill and experience that’s out there.
