Smooth Foxtrot 1A
We look at the exciting American Smooth Foxtrot in this 2-week series covering the entire Bronze syllabus. You’ll be given the figures and a suggested basic but very beautiful routine that you can dance around the floor. The program is divided into two calendar groupings, A and B blocks. In block A we’ll cover some figures and when the dance comes around again in a few weeks with block B we’ll give you the rest of the Bronze syllabus to complete your understanding of the dance. This program is perfect for anyone who has done our Beginner program as the Social or Rhythm Foxtrot includes some of the same figures. It’s also well suited to anyone with any dance experience, because it’s a relatively simple dance to learn, even if you’ve never danced Smooth Foxtrot before. This dance is dramatically different from the International-style Slow Foxtrot. It’s simpler, easy to learn, and offers opportunities to dance when music is too fast for Slow Foxtrot.
