Sunday afternoon Tea Dance
KinVillage Community Centre hosts a social tea dance every Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 3:00pm. There’s plenty of seating next to the dance floor. The crowd is warm and welcoming and the gentlemen who attend, even when they come with a partner, tend to assist single ladies by dancing with them as much as possible. Music varies regularly and is strict-tempo music especially selected by Roger Everett to provide additional practice support for some of the dances being taught during the week. Couples grow in ability quickly through this added support. Roger and Sherry are there to provide support and answer questions.
KinVillage members can purchase punch cards that allow 21 entries for $72.00. That’s less than $4 per dance. Non-members can get the punch cards for $94.00 ($4.48 per person for each dance). You can buy the punch cards directly at the social dances, but memberships can only be purchased from KinVillage during office hours.

Ballroom Nights
Greg Marchand and his wife host a social dance every two months from spring to fall at Kennedy Hall in Surrey. Called Ballroom Nights, these dances bring out over 100 people for an enjoyable time of social interaction, dancing and food. Cost is $25 per person. Greg is a DJ and plays a variety of music ranging from traditional ballroom to Bachata, Meringue and Night Club Two Step, as well as some country dance music such as Country Cha Cha.

Friday social dances
KinVillage Community Centre hosts a social dance on selected Friday evenings from 8:00 until 10:30pm. These dances are run sporadically, roughly once every two months. Since we don’t operate them, we are not aware of the exact schedule. Please contact Kinvillage to find out when the next one happens, and the pricing.
