Viennese Waltz 2
We look at this oldest of all ballroom dances from the very beginning, so even if you’ve never danced it before you’ll be able to start with this program. The basic figures are very simple, but there’s a lot of technique under the surface to make it look good and move in the right direction. We start by reviewing the type of movement that makes Viennese Waltz so different from the Slow Waltz. In the second and final lesson, we review the Reverse Turns and look at right turns, known as “Natural” turns, and how to change from one direction to the other.
