Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On jupiter and mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

Fly Me To The Moon
Artist: Dina Washington
Album: The Ultimate Ballroom Album 5
Song Length: 2:31
George's Thoughts: Most people are familiar with the 4/4 version of this song performed by Frank Sinatra, a favorite by many dancers for Slow Foxtrot. But this 3/4 version by Dinah Washington is just lovely and works well for Slow Waltz. It lacks much of the rise and fall melody that makes a Waltz tune truly powerful, yet the vocal styling plays as a contrast to the smooth rise and fall swing and sway of the Waltz. The result has the power of syncopation. While not suitable for competition or teaching situations because of this roughness, it would make an exceptional choice for a show dance.
