George's Thoughts: Probably the best known and greatest Quickstep tune ever made, no dance collection is complete without this piece. Of all the versions available, I keep coming back to the one by The Anacapri Band as my favorite. The Columbia Ballroom Orchestra is also good, but too slow for competition use. Other versions tend to have blaring trumpets that interrupt its smoothness, or include the vocals and I think this song is better without them. Check out Dancelife's "Universal Ballroom 2." The version on that album, selected especially for the 2003 German Open, is quite good, very similar in style to Anacapri's composition on "The World of Standardtanze."
