George's Thoughts: There are several versions of Chuck Berry's hit, and some of them are too slow. This one from the 1967 Golden Hits album is just right for Jive. REO Speedwagon also did this song but it measures only 39bpm, perfect for Swing but not Jive. However, if you really want a Jive tune that will rock the floor, go for the Cagey Strings version found on "the Ultimate Latin Album 3" which has a tempo of 42bpm and lots more energy to it than any other version I've heard.
