DESCRIPTION:Jive is a fun\, energetic dance that originated in America. At the basic level\, most of the figures are identical between Jive and East Coast Swing\, just with different names. The figures used in this program apply to both styles\, so you are learning two dances for the price of one! You’ll find these dances used anywhere people dance and at retro parties. We start a two-week Jive/Swing program with Single Rhythm timing\, making it easy to learn the step patterns. At the end of the program we show you how to apply the triple-rhythm timing that is commonly used.
